          Performance: It depends on the number of users and type of transmission media. The kind of hardware used also decides the performance level of the network and so does the software being used.

              Reliability: It’s measured by the frequency of failure, the rate at which the network is interrupted with a failure and also the recovery time that is the time taken to recover and get the problem rectified.

       Security: Care had to be taken against unauthorized access into the particular areas of the network and to secure the network against the viruses.
